The Betrayal of Palestinian Journalists

On 20 October 2025, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Chris Hedges was scheduled to speak at the National Press Club in Canberra. Despite written confirmation, the Press Club cancelled the talk, reportedly citing an interest in “balancing out our program.” 

At this special event, organised by Stop the War on Palestine and Palestine Justice Movement Sydney, and supported by PEN Sydney and The Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance, Hedges delivered his Press Club talk ‘The Betrayal of Palestinian Journalists’.
