Close Pine Gap Convergence 2026 reportback

Darlington Activity Centre Darlington NSW

The Close Pine Gap—Sacred Land Back Convergence 2026 was the largest protest at the US-run Pine Gap spy base in decades. Over 500 people converged on Mparntwe (Alice Springs) to protest in July this year. The convergence coincided with 60 years since the base opened.

Pine Gap is the most important US intelligence base outside the US mainland and supplies military intelligence for Israel’s genocide and Trump’s war of aggression on Iran.

Hear from convergence participants about this historic action, including the protest at the gates of the base and a visit to Irrkerlantye (Whitegate) Town Camp where many of the Traditional Owners of the land where Pine Gap was built live.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to help cover the travel costs of sending our activists to the convergence.
